Diaz Express Train

The Diaz Express runs all along the coast giving you a unique perspective of this glorious stretch of the Garden Route. Nature
De Bakke Santos has direct access to two beautiful Blue Flag beaches so visitors can enjoy hours of fun in the sun swimming, exploring the sparkling rock pools, and soaking up the beauty of this famous coastline. You can also go deep-sea fishing or spot whales and dolphins on a boat tour. Other fun activities include learning to surf, shark cage diving, the thrill of an over-water zipline or scuba diving around some of the famous shipwrecks along the coast. Keen hikers will enjoy the St Blaize Trail which runs all along the coast between Dana Bay and the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse.
Golf
The Garden Route is famous around the world for its stunning golf courses. Mossel Bay’s famous 18-hole championship Pinnacle Point golf course is right on your doorstep and has breathtaking views of the rugged coast. Further afield, George has some top options, including the world-renowned Fancourt, Oubaai Golf Club and George Golf Club.
Culture
A visit to the Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex is a great way to learn about Mossel Bay’s history and is an excursion that will be enjoyed by everyone. You’ll find out all about the Post Tree that was set up by sailors in 1500, plus you can visit the fascinating Granary and Shell Museum. If you feel like a challenge, climb to the top of Cape St Blaize Lighthouse, which was built in 1864, and enjoy stunning views of the ocean.
